Sainz Injured in Baku F1 Crash
McLaren driver Carlos Sainz Jr. suffered a neck injury during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.
Sainz crashed his car into the barriers at the high-speed Turn 8 during the race and was taken to the medical center for examination. He was later diagnosed with a "minor neck injury" and was ruled out of the rest of the weekend's racing.
Sainz is expected to make a full recovery and return to racing soon
The McLaren team said in a statement that Sainz is "doing well" and is "in good spirits." He is expected to undergo further medical checks in the coming days to determine the extent of his injury.
Sainz's crash was one of several incidents during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which was marred by a number of safety concerns. The race was also stopped twice due to crashes, and several drivers complained about the dangerous conditions on the track.
