Harrison Hot Springs’ new council members, mayor to be sworn in Nov. 7

Voters in Harrison Hot Springs have elected new council members and a new mayor. In the race for mayor, Mike Talen has defeated incumbent Leo Facio. Two council seats were also up for grabs, with the top two vote-getters earning terms on the council. Chad Schweinbenz and Whitney Carefoot came out on top, and were elected to the council. The new council members and mayor will take the oath of office on Nov. 7th.

Talen elected mayor

Talen is a long-time resident of Harrison Hot Springs, and has served on the village’s parks and recreation commission for the past six years. He is also a member of the Harrison Hot Springs Rotary Club. Talen ran on a platform of fiscal responsibility, transparency in government, and improving the quality of life for all residents.

.In his victory speech, Talen thanked his supporters and pledged to work hard to earn the trust of all residents. “I am honored and humbled by the faith that the people of Harrison Hot Springs have placed in me,” Talen said. “I will work tirelessly to make our village a better place for everyone.”

Schweinbenz, Carefoot elected to council

Schweinbenz and Carefoot are both newcomers to the Harrison Hot Springs council. Schweinbenz is a businessman who served on the Harrison Hot Springs planning commission for six years. Carefoot is a Harrison Hot Springs first responder who has served on the Harrison Hot Springs parks and recreation commission for four years.

Schweinbenz and Carefoot ran on a platform of common-sense solutions to the challenges facing Harrison Hot Springs. They pledged to work together to improve the village’s infrastructure, support local businesses, and protect the environment.

In their victory speeches, Schweinbenz and Carefoot thanked their supporters and pledged to work hard to represent the interests of all residents. “We are excited to get to work and make a difference in our community,” Schweinbenz said. “We are committed to listening to the concerns of our residents and working together to find solutions that will benefit everyone.”
