Mike Trout Net Worth 2024

Angels Lock Up Trout with Mega Deal

12-Year Extension Worth $426.5 Million

Largest Contract in MLB History

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Los Angeles Angels have signed outfielder Mike Trout to a 12-year, $426.5 million contract extension, the largest contract in Major League Baseball history. The deal, which includes a $20 million signing bonus, will keep Trout in Anaheim through the 2030 season.

"Mike Trout is the best player in baseball and we are thrilled to have him locked up for the next 12 years," said Angels owner Arte Moreno. "He is a once-in-a-generation player and we are committed to building a championship team around him."

Trout, 27, is a three-time American League MVP and has been named to nine All-Star teams. He is widely considered to be the best all-around player in baseball and is coming off a season in which he hit .312 with 45 home runs and 104 RBIs.

"I'm so excited to sign this contract and continue my career with the Angels," said Trout. "I love this organization and this city, and I'm committed to helping us win a World Series."

The Trout extension is the latest in a series of big-money contracts that have been signed by MLB players in recent years. Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, and Nolan Arenado have all signed contracts worth more than $300 million in the past year.

The Trout extension is a sign that the Angels are committed to winning and that they believe Trout is the player who can lead them to their first World Series title since 2002.
