Biography and Physical Appearance

Huh Denji (デンジ) is the titular protagonist of the Chainsaw Man manga and anime series. He is the main protagonist of the Public Safety Saga and the Denji is average height and is 16 years old. Due to malnutrition, he appears slightly shorter and thinner than he actually is. Aki is tall and Himeno, Makima, and Power are relatively tall for women, especially in Japan. Himeno is as tall as the average US woman.

Early Life and Circumstances

Denji begins the series as a teenager living in poverty. To make ends meet, he sells his organs, smokes cigarettes, and works as a devil hunter for the yakuza. He inherits his father's debt from the yakuza upon his father's death. As a result, Denji is constantly struggling to make ends meet and often has to resort to desperate measures to survive.

Hybrid Transformation

Denji's life changes when he encounters Pochita, a small devil who merges with him and gives him the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Man. This transformation gives Denji immense strength and the ability to cut through anything. With his newfound powers, Denji joins the Public Safety Devil Hunters and begins to fight against the forces of evil.
