Dortmund Advance to Champions League Quarterfinals with 2-0 Win Over PSV
Sancho and Reus Find the Net as German Giants Progress
Borussia Dortmund booked their place in the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in three years with a 2-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.
Jadon Sancho opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 29th minute, latching onto a pass from Erling Haaland and firing a low shot into the corner of the net. Marco Reus doubled the lead in the 78th minute, with a powerful strike from outside the area.
The win gives Dortmund a 4-0 aggregate victory over PSV, having won the first leg 2-0 in Eindhoven. It marks the first time that Dortmund have reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League since 2017.
Dortmund will now face Manchester City in the quarterfinals, with the first leg to be played on April 6 at the Etihad Stadium. The second leg will be played on April 12 at the Westfalenstadion.
